Doi Chaang

Doi Chaang coffee is the only single-origin, 100% Arabica, USDA Certified Organic, Fair Trade Certified, shade grown Thai coffee available in North America. More than Fair Trade, Doi Chaang coffee is “Beyond Fair Trade”. The growers are also owners. First, the Thai farmers are paid in excess of the price recommend by the Fair Trade Organization for their green beans and they retain 100% of the proceeds from the sale of their beans.

Second, in appreciation of the value of their contribution to the venture and with the aim of improving living standards, the Canadian group “gifted” the farmers a 50% interest in the Canadian company, Doi Chaang Coffee Company. Ownership helps drive the farmers' continuous attention to achieving the highest quality. The company is now paving the way for the farmers to diversify with the introduction of blue tea, coffee blossom honey, macadamia nuts, coffee soap, and in the near future, cosmetics.
