Now that we’ve jumped straight into 2017, we have some big resolutions in the works. Each one of these resolutions is part of an exciting plan for the New Year and looking ahead for years to come.

 

COFFEE EXPERTISE

We have a lot of responsibilities packed into our daily 7-4 grind, so it’s important to take the time to constantly refresh our coffee passions. Each month we host staff coffee tastings coupled with a more robust staff coffee program for our employees to sharpen our coffee expertise & learn a little something new. Our studies include roasting science, brewing techniques, bean composition and single-serve innovation.

 

CANTERBURY GOES PAPERLESS

We’re no longer printing our agendas for internal meetings, as we have the capabilities to host digitally — this will save around 20 sheets of paper per meeting!

Our Human Resources department has also gone paperless, with the installation of new digital paystubs. Now employees have the option to opt-out of receiving a paper copy each pay period.

 

ROASTING COFFEE ACROSS CANADA – TORONTO COFFEE ROASTER

Not only is our new state of the art roasting facility in Toronto Ontario, roasting great coffee – our operations team also have fire under their feet! We’re gearing up to deliver your coffee as close as possible to the roasting date. This means the freshest possible coffee for you!

Additionally, our national inside sales team is finding unique ways to be effective problem-preventers, because the best solution is prevention!

 

MAKING MEETINGS WORTH EVERY MINUTE

Meetings are extremely important to collaborate between departments, so improving the efficiency here actually gives us more time to focus on other exciting initiatives. You’d be surprised how much quicker meetings go, when everyone’s phones are left outside the conference room – even if it makes our millennial co-workers squirm a bit…
