Storage Tips

To ensure the freshness of your coffee, exposure to oxygen, moisture, and outside odours needs to be minimized. Buying quantities that can be consumed within 7-10 days after opening is also key. When you open a new package, be sure to transfer the coffee to a proper storage container, such as an airtight glass container, and store it in a cool, dry environment, away from sunlight. Minimizing empty space in the container is also important for maintaining your coffee’s full flavour and freshness.

When it comes to fresh brewed coffee, a good rule to follow is not to leave the pot on a warming element longer than 20 minutes. Prolonged exposure to heat will cause coffee to burn. To store brewed coffee for longer periods of time, transfer it to a thermal container, which has been preheated with hot water. This will maintain the coffee’s flavour and temperature.
