Adding Turmeric to your Menu – 4 Easy Drink Ideas

Turmeric has become an increasingly popular ingredient over the last few years. It not only adds a little spice to your cooking but also has health benefits, including being an antioxidant and reducing inflammation. Canterbury Coffee was so excited to have Two Leaves and a Bud Organic Turmeric tea available that we couldn’t miss out on trying some delicious drink recipes for ourselves.

Turmeric Tea Fog

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Take a 12oz cup and steep Two Leaves and a Bud Turmeric tea with 4oz of boiling water. Steep for at least 4 minutes.
  2. Step 2: Add 1/2oz (2 pumps) of Torani Vanilla syrup.
  3. Step 3: Steam milk and fill up the cup.
  4. Step 4: Stir gently, then serve.

Optional: Try substituting the Torani Vanilla syrup with Torani Maple or Honey Sweetener.

Makes 12 oz. sized beverage


 Cold Brewed Turmeric Tea

This simple recipe makes adding turmeric to your menu even easier. We recommend brewing a batch of this ahead of time, so it is ready to go when you need it.

Ingredients:

  • 10 tea bags of Two Leaves and a Bud Organic Turmeric Tea
  • 8 cups of Water 

Instructions:

  1. Combine 10 Two Leaves and a Bud tea bags and 8 cups (64oz) of water into a container.
  2. Close container and steep tea in refrigerator for 15-36 hours.
  3. Remove tea bags from the container.
  4. Serve cold brew tea as is, or use as an ingredient in other recipes.

This recipe is not a tea concentrate and does not need to be diluted before serving.
Optional: Add 1/4oz (1 pump) of Torani Maple syrup to 12oz serving to sweeten.

Makes 64 oz. of cold brew tea.


Mango Turmeric Smoothie

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Combine 5oz of Dr. Smoothie 100% Crushed Mango and 3oz of Cold Brew Turmeric Tea in a blender. Top with ice.
  2. Blend until preferred consistency.
  3. Pour into a cup, then serve.

Makes 16oz sized beverage


Iced Turmeric Lemonade

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Fill shaker with 8oz of Cold Brew Turmeric Tea and 2oz of Dr. Smoothie 100% Crushed Lemonade. Top with Ice.
  2. Shake until combined
  3. Pour over ice, then serve.

Makes 16oz sized beverage

We had so much fun trying out these drinks and finding new ways to incorporate turmeric into recipes. Substituting one ingredient with Two Leaves and a Bud Turmeric Tea in a pre-existing recipe is an easy way to add this delicious and healthy ingredient to your menu.
